Melinda from Tech4Learning, one of my favorite sites, recommended this article, Build Thinking Skills with Informational Text Projects, from Elizabeth Allen a Michigan educator and media specialist. The Common Core Standards for English Language Arts include a strong focus on Informational Text as well as traditional literature and this article provides several ideas for creating fun projects with students based on informational reading.
